The finest salmon
Up north in Norway, where the sea meets the island-scattered coast you find the finest conditions for salmon. The island of Lovund, home of Nova Sea, is surrounded by these waters. Here, salmon is produced and delivered to customers around the world.

The finest origin
Cold, clear, oxygen-rich water along the coast of Northern Norway. Setting the standard for where our fish is raised since 1972.

The finest care
Every fish is handled and processed with care. Fish welfare first, in a method we've refined for more than 50 years.

The finest people
Direct contact and short decision lines. Our team takes real ownership of every customer relationship and delivery.

Our plant
A processing facility on Lovund, built around fish welfare
Opened in 2026, the facility doubled our capacity without changing how we work. Every fish is kept calm throughout the process, because a salmon that is treated well tastes better. It's also a continued investment in Lovund itself, securing activity on the island for years to come.

Did you know?
We started in 1972 — among the first to farm salmon in Norway
The founding partners Steinar Olaisen and Hans Petter Meland started with 1,200 smolt, flown in by seaplane. The one pen in the sea was tended by islanders with long experience handling fish and making a living from the sea. Salmon farming secured jobs on Lovund, and made it possible for families to stay.
